Celebration of Commitment to Education
Arch Street Presbyterian Church annually celebrates all those committed to education throughout Philadelphia with a vibrant concert.
“We believe our city is filled with extraordinary men and women who deserve recognition for their unwavering commitment to ensuring the success of all students,” said Rev Bill Golderer. “Too often, the dedicated men and women teaching our children are under appreciated, underpaid, and rarely receive the public recognition they deserve for their hard work.”
The annual event includes a special keynote speaker and performances by young Philadelphians.
“What a better way to express our appreciation to the teachers than for Arch Street to provide a platform to showcase the talented students in Philadelphia,” said Dr. J. Donald Dumpson, minister for music and arts at Arch Street.
People of all faith traditions are welcome to attend this inclusive event.
The 4th Annual Celebration of Commitment to Education took place on May 17, 2017 at 7 pm! Dr. William Hite, Superintendent of Philadelphia Public Schools, was the keynote speaker and the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts [Mrs. Dorina Morrow, conductor] performed alongside other musically talented youth.
This event is made possible by the energy, imagination, intelligence, and love of a diverse host committee every year.
We hope you can join us in 2018!
