Bernard Momasso, Elder, Class of 2018
Bernard Momasso is a cradle Presbyterian. He hails from Cameroon, West Africa. He is the middle child, and his parents, who are still alive by the grace of God, had 9 children. He moved to Canada at a young age, where he pursued his education, which culminated in a doctorate in computer science. He has two daughters, ages 23 and 21, from a prior marriage and two sons, age 6 and 2 1/2, with his wife Janine. After being disillusioned by church politics, he stayed away from church for several years. He moved to Philadelphia in 2000, and subsequently found a new church home at Arch Street, thanks to Janine, who insisted on raising their children in the Christian faith. He is currently a ruling elder and serves on the finance committee.
